UMAVET – AMPARA ANIMAL
In order to take free care for animals that live on the street or in poor communities in the state of São Paulo, Truckvan donated the customization of a bus to the Ampara Animals NGO. The vehicle has an outpatient clinic and specialized equipment and is used as a veterinary clinic to carry out castration efforts as a form of population control.
In addition, sterilization, vaccination and veterinary procedures for disease prevention are also carried out by qualified professionals in the new Mobile Unit. “The project follows the line of what the company has always sought to do, creating solutions that offer improvements and have social reach,” says Alcides Braga, managing partner of Truckvan.
According to the marketing director of Ampara Animal, Raquel Facuri, the project UMAVET (Mobile Veterinary Care Unit), came to meet a harsh reality. “There are now more than 30 million dogs and cats left on the streets of Brazil and many who do not receive adequate care due to lack of orientation or economic possibilities of their tutors. With the project we will be able to significantly reduce this number. ”
The Mobile Unit also has a mission to raise awareness of the population by providing information on the care needed for animal welfare.
