False information is 70 percent more likely to viralize than true news and reaches far more people, according to a study by scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. Faced with this worrying scenario, a group of companies and media vehicles created an innovative project: JOURNALISM IN MOVEMENT – Fight against the Fake News, a cart about 15 meters long that will travel through regions of São Paulo between November 6 and 16 December 2018.

“The aim of this action is to facilitate access to quality information, encouraging the public to reflect on how it receives, absorbs and shares news, creating a greater sense of criticism and engagement in society,” explains Leandro Siqueira, responsible for Truckvan and content curator of the project.

To impact people and encourage them to participate, there will be quizzed quizzes, scoring scores and entry into Escape The Fake, a game of escape with journalistic riddles.

Experts in fact checking, journalists and authorities from various subjects will participate in discussions in the cart and will be available to clarify the population’s doubts on various topics.
