In order to stimulate entrepreneurship and generate new business, Truckvan, in partnership with the entrepreneurs José Lúcio Mendes Ferreira and Renato Frascino, specialists in cachaça, launched the Carreta Alambique-Escola Brasil in the 27th edition of Expocachaça, an event that took place between the June 8 and 11, 2017 at Expominas, in Belo Horizonte (MG).
“The mobile unit will bring producers and their teams the knowledge they need to produce rum with quality within the legal standards and demanded by the distilled beverage market in the world. In addition to the producers, the courses will also be focused on the POS – Sales Points, final consumer and bartenders “, emphasizes Ferreira, president of the Brazilian Reference Center of Cachaça (CBRC).
With 13 meters of length and 52 m² of floor space, the mobile school has still for practical classes, laboratory, classroom for 15 students, library and video collection.
“The cart will travel through Brazil, but will be based in Belo Horizonte, since in Minas Gerais we have about 9,000 stills distributed in 853 municipalities,” explains Frascino, coordinator of the Expocachaça Tasting Contest.
The project also has the support of the CBRC, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of the State of Minas Gerais (Emater-MG) and Alambiques Santa Efigênia.
